Sure...it does take a few tries to master your tying technique (You Tube was super helpful for this) and even then it will take a couple of minutes to put on each time....BUT for our baby at least, it's the only thing that calms him down. He loves being close to our chest and curled up real tight in the Moby. I think the warmth and confinement reminds him of the womb, and swaddling doesn't calm him the way the Moby does. Sometimes it's the ONLY way he'll fall back to sleep in the middle of the night. We put him in the Moby and walk around the house for 5-10 minutes and he passes right out! It's fantastic! Don't know where we'd be without it. But remember, all babies are different, this just works well for us.

I have a pretty mellow baby who only gets cranky when he is tired and needs help to fall asleep. In the beginning I would always tie the wrap too loose because I didn't want to squeeze the baby. Then I started to wear it tighter. It takes a while until you figure out how tight to wear it to make it comfortable for yourself and your baby. I find it particularly helpful after I tried nursing, changing diapers, burping, and the crying baby only wants to be held. After my back and arms are sore and I start getting in a bad mood I get the moby wrap. When the baby is not happy in the wrap at first I try some bouncing until he relaxes. I always tighten the wrap while holding the baby. I've found it impossible to tighten it first and then put the baby in. It's always too loose or too tight. I would recommend this wrap as it's one more trick in a parent's bag to survive the first year of the baby.

I want to love this wrap carrier more than I do... maybe it gets better with daily practice? I think the issues aren't really specific to the Moby, but to this type of carrier in general. Here's my breakdown of the good and not so good.
This carrier gets 5 stars for the following:
- Allows you to wear your baby close to you in a soft and cozy way
- Distributes baby's weight evenly across back and shoulders - a must for parents who want to keep their backs in shape and/or find sling carriers and carriers that only sit over the shoulders uncomfortable (this is the main reason I purchased this carrier).
- Baby is not seated directly on his/her groin as in many other carriers
- When the fabric is at the proper tightness and baby is inserted in the right position, this carrier is very comfortable for baby and parent. She falls right to sleep, and my back feels better using this carrier than others.
The not-so-good (3 stars):
- It takes a lot of practice (for most people). Between the two of us, my husband and I have probably used this 15 times in the 6 weeks since our baby was born, yet it is difficult to have the wrap and the baby's position be consistent. One time it will be great... and the next we will need to take her out and redo the whole thing. This makes me feel like I can't depend on using this carrier when I'm out and about. I'm hoping this will improve with practice, but I find it frustrating.
- This is 18 feet of fabric. Yes, 18 feet. As many have commented, it's impossible not to drag the fabric on the floor when putting this on. I read the reviews and thought that wouldn't bother me so much, but it does. You need to put this on at home before going out, and you might not even enjoy gathering your own home's dust and pet hair as you put this on.
- The fabric stretches and the wrap becomes looser as you wear it. This means that the baby's position can change, and also that you may need to readjust by re-tying the knot at the bottom, or by readjusting the entire wrap when baby is not in the carrier.

I'm giving this 4 stars because when it works, the Moby is great, but there are some frustrating aspects to this type of carrier.
