While this product does hold up to its claims of keeping coffee hot, it has poor seams several places throughout the stainless where there are pin holes allowing liquid to get trapped between the stainless thermal layers. For sanitary reasons, I am not using and have ordered a competitor's stainless french press as a replacement. Very unhappy with my purchase.

I read the reviews before purchasing this product. One review was upset with the weld marks on his press. Let me tell you, its not that bad. This is my 5th coffee press that I've purchased! We broke the last four as they had glass beakers and we make 2-4 pots a day. They couldn't handle the stress. Sooo....I went searching for a metal one and found this one. Great looking pot, all metal, love the spout and option to close the opening to preserve heat. Not that it matters as it doesn't last long and makes excellent coffee! Yeah, if you look close you can see the weld marks. Big Deal! I want my coffee and I want it now. So if you make a lot of coffee, don't buy glass as sure shootin you'll end up breaking it and turn into a raving maniac due to caffeine deficiency. Why take the chance?

Love my french press! Makes great coffee. Holds up well after months of use. Keeps coffee hot (I've only left it in there for under 2 hours). There is some metal work blemishes, but for the price it looks good and works great. All parts are metal which is great. I haven't had any rusting or discoloring issues. I hand wash mine and towel dry it.
